Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She was able to survive on a student stipend and did part-time jobs in order to make ends meet. Lennox felt that her skills aren't the same as the Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other options she could pursue. Lennox played flute in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band shortly before their appearance on I.T.V's talents show New Faces. She was the lead singer in The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo debut album Diva. It was released in 1993. Both commercially as well as critically, it was an enormous success. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album was Released in October of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs most loved blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a collection of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. The album is a companion of her "Now I let it go... art installation, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut self-released album. The group went on during the 80s, to become the popular duo Eurythmics. Lennox launched her solo career with her debut album Diva in the year 1992. This was the source of many hits songs such as Why andWalking on Broken Glass. Medusa the album from 1995 studio has cover versions of the songs No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her six studio solo albums and her compilation album contain a variety of tracks.
